The Grant is normally subject to State Aid ‘de minimis’ rules and will be initially up to 30% of proposed expenditure, with a minimum of £1000. Changes in European funding due in a few months will then reduce this to 20%. A higher percentage is possible if State Aid rules do not apply. Examples of eligible costs are:
- Shop front improvements
- Demolition of outworn structures and site preparation
- Structural works and alterations to walls and floors
- Building extensions/new building works
- Electrical installation and rewiring
- NOT Maintenance work or Plant and Equipment
