For traditional Bank Loan funding the Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme may be appropriate. It will provide the Bank with 75% security. From 1st December 2005 it has been focussed on newer businesses.
Local community organisations may benefit from the Adventure Capital Fund which can provide them with funding and mentoring. Support packages range from £20k to £400k.
