Phil Hope, Minister for the Third Sector, has announced a £6 million fund which will go towards improving business support services for social enterprises. The funding will be distributed over the next three years by an initiative known as the Capacitybuilders Social Enterprise Programme, and money will be invested in mentoring schemes, accredited advisers and regional social enterprise networks. The programme will help to increase collaboration and sharing of best practice between social enterprise and the rest of the third sector.
