HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has announced new advisory fuel rates for company car users to reflect the increased costs of fuel. Normally these rates would be effective from 1 July, but HMRC has said that the new rates can be implemented as from the 1 June because of the recent rapid increase in fuel prices. HMRC advises employers to check the advisory fuel pages on its website in June and December so they can keep up to date with changes.
