Small businesses are throwing away their money when they book overnight accommodation, according to survey results. The findings, from business accommodation provider BSI, revealed that one in three small businesses don't bother to negotiate rates and terms, and half of those surveyed don't set a budget and stick to it. More than half have no idea how much they spend on hotels each year. The managing director of BSI said that failure to follow best practice procurement when buying and booking overnight accommodation was likely to cause small firms to waste money and time.
